What Is the Semantic Web, and Why Is It Important?
Comment
Yes, but unfortunately it's not my idea! - Tim Berners-Lee (Mr. Internet) explains his vision here and here. What I'm talking about is a level of abstraction ...

Friend or Faux?
Comment
You make a good point here. For me, Facebook only held an interest while I was still adding friends. Once I'd added everyone I knew, it was 'game over', as the games and other apps didn't really appeal to me. I honestly can't remember when I last logged in to Facebook. Twitter's model works much ...

Work 2.0
Comment
I must admit I'm still quite old-school with my meal times, Spode, but I agree with you about office regimes. It's much more civilized (and sensible) to work when you're at your most productive, rather than turning up and staying in the office just because convention dictates that those are ...

Work 2.0
Comment
I run a software company with my co-founder, Bill. We both work from home, but we live over 200 miles apart. About once a month, we meet up for a face-to-face meeting but most of the time, to communicate, we use a combination of Swirrl (our company's own service, ...
